A wind chill advisory has prompted area schools to cancel Friday classes.

Rochester Community Schools and Avondale School District have announced school closings Friday.

Here is a list of closings in and around Rochester, as of 11:15 p.m. Thursday:

  • Rochester Community Schools
  • Avondale School District
  • Holy Family Regional North
  • Holy Family Regional South
  • Living Word Lutheran
  • Lutheran High NW
  • Rochester Hills Christian
  • St. John Lutheran-Rochester
The wind chill advisory, issued by the National Weather Service, will remain in effect until 4 p.m. Friday.
