Snow, Bitter Cold Moving Into Rochester Area

ROCHESTER, MI – Winter took a long powder this year, but the warmer-than-normal temperatures are about to come to a bone-chilling end.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for several southeast Michigan counties — including Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Genesee, Livingston and Washtenaw — that said a “dynamic system” will potentially produce up to 4 inches of snow and cause much colder air to spill into the area.

Multiple nights of sub-zero temperatures and wind chills approaching -15 degrees are possible, the Weather Service said.

Snow shower expected to begin after 7 p.m. Monday could continue through Wednesday, according to the forecast.
