Stoney Creek #203 Questers Receives Grant for Meadow Brook Hall

Eleven years ago, Stoney Creek #203 Questers received a Preservation & Restoration Grant from The Questers International to restore a painting at Meadow Brook Hall. Since then, the chapter has received seven grants from The Questers to assist the Hall in various restoration projects. This year’s $2,000 grant (along with another $1,000 from the chapter) paid for the reupholstering of an antique settee whose upholstery was in tatters. Over the years, this small chapter of just 17 dedicated members has donated over $10,000 and 1,500 volunteer hours toward preservation projects at Meadow Brook Hall.

The Questers is an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to keep history alive by supporting preservation, restoration and education. Every two years, the organization awards over $90,000 in grants to assist U.S. and Canadian historic properties in their preservation and restoration efforts.
