AT&T, Team Rubicon To Lead Disaster Training

Volunteers will be taught how to make home repairs after floods and tornadoes.

TAYLOR, MI – Volunteers, many of whom are veterans, will join first responders for a training session on disaster relief efforts. The volunteers come from Ann Arbor, Rochester and Farmington Hills, and will be taught Saturday how to repair roofs and interior walls in preparation of a flood or tornado.

The training begins at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon will join representatives of AT&T and Team Rubicon, a disaster response organization, at the training at the Wayne County Community College District in Taylor.

AT&T has donated $100,000 to Team Rubicon for its effort in Michigan. The donation is part of a $1 million commitment to support Team Rubicon nationwide.
