Where to Recycle Your Christmas Tree
Here's information for Rochester and Rochester Hills residents on leaving your tree at the curb and dropping it off for composting.

In Rochester
The Department of Public Works will pick up your tree if you leave it by the curb with your regular trash starting Jan. 2. Do not leave your trees in the plastic bags at the street.
After the holidays, Christmas tree brush chipping services will take place on the Monday and Tuesdays of each week through Jan. 28, after which time residents will have to hold the tree until spring when regular brush chipping resumes or bring it to the Department of Public Works.
In Rochester Hills
Rochester Hills residents can leave their trees at the curb for Republic Services to pick up this week and for the next two weeks. The trees will be taken to a compost site, not the landfill. Trees measuring greater than 6 feet tall must be cut in half prior to placement at curbside.
