Woman Shoots Husband In Backside, Tells Cops It Was Accident
The woman slipped on a tile floor, she said. Police, though, said they discovered a second gun outside the home.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – A woman told police that she accidentally shot her husband in the backside after she slipped while putting her gun away, report police. Detectives, however, are continuing to investigate the incident.
Police were called to the Sugar Pine Road home at 3:40 p.m. on Sunday on a report of a man being shot. Police said the 39-year-old man was conscious and alert. He had been shot in the back and just above his hip, police report. The bullet exited his body from the lower abdomen.
The woman, who is 40, told police she was putting her gun away when she slipped on the tile floor, police said. Oakland County Sheriff's deputies recovered a Walther PK .380 on a table in the home. They also discovered a second handgun in the snow outside the home, police reported.

Police report that the woman has been released from custody as the investigation continues. Meanwhile, her husband was taken to McLaren Hospital–Oakland, where he was treated for the gunshot wound and later released.
