5 things Grand Prix-Goers Need to Know
Headed to the Grand Prix in Detroit this weekend? We've got the skinny.

This weekend's Grand Prix goers should opt to leave their cars at home in lieu of abundant ride sharing and shuttle services.
Among other restrictions, Belle Isle public parking will be restricted during the Detroit event, according to a CBS News report.
Here are five things you need to know about getting to the event:

1. Save With Lyft
- Ride-share company, Lyft, offers new users a $50 credit if they download the app and enter offer code, "DETROITGP." The $50 is allocated in $5 increments over the first 10 requested rides.
2. Parking and Shuttle Service

- The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix is offering free round-trip shuttle service from two downtown Detroit locations.
3. Suggested Friday-Sunday Parking
- Cobo Hall Roof: $10
- Enter off Third Street, between Atwater and Larned streets
- GM Renaissance Center Surface Lots: $10
- Lots C, D and GM are located eaast of the GM Renaissance Center between Atwater and Franklin Streets, starting at St. Antoine
- Costs vary for other downtown Detroit lots and street parking options.
4. Downtown Detroit Shuttle Service Locations
- Both inbound downtown Detroit shuttles ($1.50 round-trip) are accessible from any downtown parking lot by using the Detroit People Mover.
5. Downtown Detroit Shuttle Operating Times
- Shuttle passengers will be dropped off and picked up at a staging area on Belle Isle known as the Shuttle Transportation Center. Shuttle buses run continuously during the following hours:
- Friday: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. or until all guests are accommodated
- Saturday and Sunday: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. or until all guests are accommodated
