Car Stolen From Royal Oak Homeowner's Driveway
Homeowners in the 4000 block of Thorncroft Avenue had their 2002 Ford stolen on Oct. 2.

ROYAL OAK, MI — A Royal Oak resident recently reported their car stolen from their driveway. According to police reports, the car — a 2002 Ford — was stolen in the early morning hours of Oct. 2 in the 4000 block of Thorncroft Avenue.
Royal Oak Police is investigating the theft. Reports said the homeowner’s suspected an acquaintance took the car.
In all, Royal Oak Police made 30 arrests between Sept. 28 - Oct. 5. Here’s a rundown of incidents:

Larceny from Motor Vehicle
- 1000 block of Bauman Ave., 9-30-17 – 10-2-17, 12:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked 2015 Ford and stole $10.
- 4000 block of Tonawanda Ave., 8-22-17 – 8-23-17, 8:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked 2007 Honda and stole a wallet containing identification and credit cards.

Larceny
- 1000 block of Farnum Ave., 10-3-17 – 10-4-17, 9:00 p.m. – 1:07 a.m.: Complainant reported they believed an acquaintance stole several credit cards from the residence and fraudulently used the cards.
Malicious Destruction of Property
- 719 E. Eleven Mile Rd., (Charlies Haircuts), 9-30-17 – 10-01-17, 4:30 p.m. – 2:22 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) smashed a southside exterior window.
- 4000 block of Hillcrest Ave., 10-01-17 – 10-2-17, 9:30 p.m. – 9:59 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side window of her 1999 GMC. 17-36426
