Coronavirus: How Full Are Oakland County Hospitals?

There is now public data showing how close your local hospital is to being at or over capacity.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Hospitals in Oakland County are almost at capacity due to the ongoing surge in coronavirus cases in Michigan and around the country. State health officials warn that once all hospital beds are occupied, patients may be turned away.

Residents can now look up exactly how full their local hospital is. Based on research and data compiled by the University of Minnesota, National Public Radio created a "look-up" tool.

Users can also lookup county and statewide hospitalization rates, in addition to info on their local hospital. In Oakland County, hospitals are 84 percent full.

Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital (Rochester, MI) — 82 percent full, treating an average of 41 COVID-19 patients

Beaumont Hospital - Farmington Hills (Farmington Hills, MI) — 85 percent full, treating an average of 47 COVID-19 patients

Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak (Royal Oak, MI) — 76 percent full, treating an average of 157 COVID-19 patients

Beaumont Hospital, Troy (Troy, MI) — 82 percent full, treating an average of 179 COVID-19 patients

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital (West Bloomfield, MI) — 88 percent full, treating an average of 66 COVID-19 patients

Huron Valley-sinai Hospital (Commerce Township, MI) — 100 percent full, treating an average of 19 COVID-19 patients

Mclaren Oakland (Pontiac, MI) — 80 percent full, treating an average of 18 COVID-19 patients

St Joseph Mercy Oakland (Pontiac, MI) — 72 percent full, treating an average of 81 COVID-19 patients
