High temperatures are expected to range from 48 degrees to about 62. Wednesday highlights week ahead.

METRO DETROIT, MI — Make sure to have your umbrella handy this work week. According to the National Weather Service, chances are high it’s going to rain everyday but Wednesday.

As if a mostly soggy weekend wasn’t enough, the metropolitan Detroit area is in for a lot more of the wet stuff. Monday will start off relatively warm with a high of 62 degrees, but as you might expect in early spring, temperatures will fluctuate from day to day. Thursday’s high is expected to only touch 48.

Monday: A chance of showers before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. West southwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Monday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 44. Light and variable wind becoming north northeast around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Rain likely before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. North wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. North northeast wind around 9 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.
