Detroit Area Work Week Weather Forecast: Two More Inches Of Snow Overnight

ROYAL OAK, MI — The snow isn’t done. Some communities have already received five to six inches of the white stuff as snow showers tapered off around 8 p.m. Monday. According to the National Weather Service, however, the Detroit metropolitan area is due for another of one to two inches by morning.

Monday’s storm shortened the school day for Novi students. Thus far, Tuesday school closings include Arc Dearborn and the Nexus Academy in Royal Oak, according to WDIV-TV Channel 4.

Snow, mainly before 2am. Areas of blowing snow before 11pm. Steady temperature around 21. North northeast wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of around 2 inches.
