Detroit Area Work Weekend Weather Forecast: Snow Possible Friday, Sun On Sunday

Conditions will improve Sunday with a mostly sunny day and a high near 44 degrees.

METRO DETROIT, MI — Spring arrives Monday morning at 6:28 a.m. Theoretically speaking, warmer weather should come along with it. In reality, however, this weekend isn’t going to feel very spring-like. Start with a probability of snow or rain on Friday and more of the same on Saturday. Temperatures the first half of the weekend will be below normal, topping out at about 43 degrees on Saturday.

Friday: Snow before 1pm, then rain and snow. High near 37. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. Friday Night: Rain likely before 5am, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 33. South southeast wind 6 to 9 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of rain and snow before 11am, then a chance of rain between 11am and 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 43. West wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Saturday Night: Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Sunday Night: A chance of rain after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33.
