So my prediction is that an average student could miss a year or two of school without major long-term effects. Their standardized test score would be lower at the end of the two years they missed than some other student who had been in school the whole time. But after a short period they would equalize again. I don’t think you need to burn yourself out working overtime to send your kid to a private school, I don’t think you need to risk your immunocompromised kid’s health to send her to the classroom, I think you can just chill. I want to present some of the evidence that makes me think this.

"Oh no!," is what you hear when you tell people that , the Irish-themed bar nestled in the Northwood Shopping Center at Woodward Avenue and 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak, is turning out the lights for the last time Saturday night. Many people had their first beer there, others make the annual pilgrimage for St. Patrick's Day or an early televised rugby game. Most days, scrubs-wearing nurses and doctors from nearby come by for lunch or dinner, joining moms and babies, men in suits and groups of loud 20-somethings. Others drop by later for their favorite musical acts and a perfectly poured pint. "Just try to keep me away from this place the next few days," one regular was overheard saying this afternoon.
