Grocery Deliveryman Shot In Royal Oak After Carjacking
A grocery deliveryman was shot Tuesday night during a carjacking in Royal Oak.
ROYAL OAK, MI — A grocery deliveryman was shot Tuesday night during a carjacking in Royal Oak, according to city officials.
The victim was delivering groceries to a home on South Gainsborough, near Lincoln Avenue, around 9:30 p.m. when two men walked up to him and demanded his keys, wallet and cell phone.
The man obliged them, according to officials, but as he ran away he was shot in the leg. He was later taken to a local hospital for his injuries, officials said.

Both suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle — a gray 2007 Toyota Camry with Michigan license plate 5MPN71 — southbound on S. Gainsborough, officials said.
