Inforum’s 58th Annual Meeting

Tickets available now for Sept. 29 virtual event

Inforum, a nonprofit striving to build gender equity in business leadership, welcomes business professionals from across Michigan to listen in on a discussion of the most common issues facing men and women in the workplace today as part of its 58th Annual Meeting, set to be held virtually on Sept. 29. Tickets are available now for the event, which is scheduled to run from 12-1:30 p.m.

Panelists for the discussion include Gina Coleman, chief sales officer at MassMutual Great Lakes; Nansook Park, director of the Michigan Positive Psychology Center at the University of Michigan; and JoAnne Purtan, co-host of Mornings with Stephen Clark and Joanne Purtan on 104.3 WOMC. Lynn Antipas Tyson, executive director of investor relations at Ford Motor Co., will moderate the event.

Together, this panel of powerful women will address common stressors in the workplace and in daily life as it relates to volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity – a series of stressors so common, they are often referred to as VUCA. While this discussion was previously scheduled to take place in March, addressing VUCA in today’s environment is more pertinent now than ever before. This compelling slate of speakers will use their combined experiences to break down VUCA, helping the audience understand, manage and overcome stressors whenever they arise in everyday life.

“Inforum is committed to educating our peers and helping them navigate and control their professional wellbeing while identifying opportunities to accelerate their careers. It’s incredibly fitting that we had planned to discuss solutions to shared sources of stress in the workplace and life – before the pandemic changed so much about how we approach our daily activities,” said Terry A. Barclay, CEO & president of Inforum. “Defining what VUCA means for our personal and local business environment and discussing how we can face these challenges head-on will make us a stronger, savvier workforce, and the insights from Gina, Nansook, JoAnne and Lynn will be valuable tools to keep us moving forward, providing a blueprint for how to overcome the challenges we face.”

Tickets for the Annual Meeting virtual panel are on sale now and can be purchased at https://inforummichigan.z2systems.com/np/clients/inforummichigan/event.jsp?event=26621.
