Jewelry Stolen From Royal Oak Shop: Police
An undisclosed amount of jewelry was stolen from the Woodward Avenue store, according to Royal Oak Police.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Numerous pieces of jewelry were recently stolen from Royal Oak Jewelers, according to police reports. Thieves smashed out the front door of the Woodward Avenue shop in the early morning hours of Sept. 21 and took the jewelry from a display case. The theft is under investigation.
The Royal Oak Police Department made 35 arrests between Sept. 21-28. Six misdemeanor warrant and five drunk driving arrests were the highest categories. Here’s a rundown of other incidents during the time period:

- E. Eleven Mile Rd. & Gainsborough Ave., 9-26-17, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) stole his parked and locked 2004 Chevrolet from the parking lot.

- 1000 block of N. Alexander Ave., 9-21-17, 12:00 a.m. – 4:20 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) stole a bank statement and ID card from her unlocked 2006 Saturn.
- 1000 block of N. Alexander Ave., 9-20-17 – 9-21-17, 9:00 p.m. – 5:09 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) stole the GPS navigation system from her unlocked 2017 Volkswagen.
- 27000 block of Woodward Ave., 9-19-17, 2:55 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) stole a leaf blower and an impact wrench from his unlocked 2011 pickup.
- 600 block of N. Gainsborough Ave., 9-21-17, 1:00 a.m. – 4:35 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and stole sunglasses and loose change.
- 4000 block of Hampton Blvd., 9-21-17 – 9-22-17, 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole loose change.
- 4000 Mandalay Blvd., 9-21-17 – 9-22-17, 11:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a full hockey equipment bag.
- 4000 block of Olivia Ave., 9-23-17 – 9-24-17, 9:00 p.m. – 10:26 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspects entered her unlocked 2017 Dodge and stole her wallet containing ID and several credit cards, and a small bicycle.
- 1620 E. Twelve Mile Rd., (Speedway), 9-25-17, 9:30 p.m. – 9:50 p.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered his 2015 Cadillac as he left it idling near the gas pump, and stole a small bag containing several hand tools.

- 300 block of Baldwin Ave., 9-15-17 – 9-16-17, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked garage and stole a Sun model bicycle.
