Barrett joins the firm with over 29 years of experience in healthcare law.

Healthcare law firm Wachler & Associates, P.C. has recently added Lynn Barrett to their team of attorneys.
Barrett comes to Wachler with over 29 years of experience practicing in healthcare law. Her specialties include healthcare regulatory and compliance matters and transactional cases, but she practices in all areas of healthcare law. She has prior experience acting as in-house counsel to for-profit, non-profit, and public healthcare systems, in addition to associate, special counsel, and partner positions in private practice. She is a member of the State Bar of Florida and New York, with certifications from the Health Care Compliance Association in Compliance and from the Health Ethics Trust as a Certified Compliance Professional
Barrett is a graduate of New York University Law School, where she was a member of the Review of Law and Social Change and earned the Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Law and Medicine. She also graduated in the top 1% of her class as a University Scholar and College Scholar at Carnegie-Mellon University.

In addition to her work as a lawyer, Barrett is currently an adjunct professor at the School of Law at Hofstra University and at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and often speaks and writes about Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, EKRA, telemedicine, the opioid epidemic, and HIPAA. She also serves as the Vice Chair, Publications of the Delivery and Payment Reform Infinity Group for the American Health Law Association and Vice Chair, eHealth, Privacy & Security for the American Bar Association. Barrett also serves on the board for Women’s Healthcare Executive Network and is a member of the Florida Bioethics Network.
Wachler & Associates, P.C. was founded in 1985 and is based in Royal Oak, Michigan. Wachler represents healthcare providers throughout the country, assisting and providing counsel on a variety of healthcare law matters, including Stark Law, compliance, licensure and credentialing, audits, and HIPAA.
