Normandy Oaks Recommendations To Be Made

A committee will reveal its ideas of what should be included in the new city park on Thursday.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Recommendations for what features should go into Normandy Oaks park will be made Thursday after one final round of public input. The 40-acre site is the former home of Normandy Oaks golf course, according to a Daily Tribune report.

"Recommendations from the task force are expected to go before the City Commission, probably later this month, on what will become the city’s largest park."
“I believe there will be active and passive areas in the park and transitional zones between them,” said Greg Rassel, director of the city Public Service Department. “The task force is not recommending a design for the park at Thursday’s meeting, but determining what type of amenities they would like to see there.”
