Parking Enforcement Officer Victim In Hit-And-Run: Royal Oak PD
Police say the officer was crossing Main Street at Fifth Street when he was hit by a woman driving a red sedan.
ROYAL OAK, MI — A Royal Oak Parking Enforcement Officer was hit by a car Thursday afternoon in a hit-and-run case, according to the Royal Oak Police Department.
The officer was crossing the S. Main Street at E. Fifth Street in a crosswalk when a red sedan, going north on Main Street, hit him, police say. The driver stopped briefly then drove off.
The car was a four-door red sedan driven by a white woman in her 30s, police say.

Authorities say the parking enforcement officer was taken to a local hospital and treated for a fractured leg.
Detectives are speaking to witnesses and checking surveillance footage at businesses to get more information.
