Royal Oak Candidate's Forum Requested By League Of Women's Voters
City commissioners are being asked to waive a fee for using its chambers for the forum.

ROYAL OAK, MI — If the League of Women Voters has its way, it will host a candidate’s forum for candidates vying for seats on the Royal Oak Commission and the mayor’s office. But the organization will have to clear a few hurdles before it can plan a date.
The League is asking the Royal Oak Commission to approve fee and insurance waivers at its Monday evening meeting. If approved, the forum would be held at a date to be announced in the city commission chambers.
The League of Women Voters - Oakland Area already has similar candidate forums scheduled in nearby Berkley and Clawson. Both are scheduled for later this month at each community’s city hall.
