Royal Oak Man Dies After Shoveling Snow
A family member found him collapsed and called 911 at about 6:50 a.m., police said.

ROYAL OAK, MI — A 49-year-old Royal Oak man died early Tuesday morning after shoveling snow at his home, according to Royal Oak Police. The man had been clearing snow from his driveway in the 1100 block of Millard Avenue and gone back in the home, reports said.
A family member found him collapsed and called 911 at about 6:50 a.m. The family member began CPR but were unable to revive him, police said. Royal Oak paramedics also did CPR on him for about an hour, but were also unsuccessful, according to a Daily Tribune report.
He was pronounced dead on the scene. Royal Oak Police said the man had a history of health issues.
