Royal Oak Middle School Schedule Pickup This Week

Students must bring in completed information forms. New sixth-graders will get 'Dog Day' orientation and all students will get photo IDs the first week of school.

students are invited to pick up their schedules for the 2011-12 school year Monday and Tuesday this week in the Gathering Place at the school.

Students must bring their completed student information form and signed Technology Use Agreement to receive their class schedules. If you did not get a packet in the mail or are missing it, download it here

Seventh- and eighth-graders pick up 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday while sixth-graders pick up 8:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Students are asked to follow the following schedule:

Monday: seventh- and eighth-graders

  • 8:30-9:30 a.m.: last names begining with A-E
  • 9:30-10:30 a.m.: last names F-J
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m.: last names K-N
  • 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: schedule pickup closed
  • 1-2 p.m.: last names O-S
  • 2-3 p.m.: last names T-Z

Tuesday: sixth-graders

  • 8:30-9:30 a.m.: last names A-I
  • 9:30-10:30 a.m.: last names J-R
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m.: last names S-Z

If your student is not available on these dates, he/she can pick up their schedule on the first day of school, Sept. 6. He/she will need to report to the appropriate grade-level office or designated area.

'Dog Days' for sixth-graders

The first day of school for sixth-graders – new to middle school – is designated as a “Dog Day," during which students will get  a comprehensive orientation to Royal Oak Middle School. Teachers will provide planners, tours and other activities that will help students become familiar with the new building and the other sixth-grade students. On the first day of school the sixth-grade students will be greeted by the staff and directed to their first meeting location.

Picture days

All Royal Oak Middle School students will have their pictures taken by Lifetouch the second and third day of school for processing ID cards. All seventh and eighth grade students will have their pictures taken on Sept. 7 while all sixth grade students will have their pictures taken Sept. 8. Students should bring picture order packets to purchase school pictures at that time.
