Royal Oak Police Arrest 6 For Disorderly Conduct

Royal Oak Police made a total of 36 arrests from Aug. 31 - Sept. 7. Several Arts, Beats, and Eats larcenies reported.

ROYAL OAK, MI. — Even with the huge Arts, Beats and Eats festival, the Royal Oak Police Department did not see a significant spike in the number of arrests over the past week. A total of 36 arrests were made between Aug. 31 and Sept. 7 — a fairly typical number for a week, according to department statistics.

The largest number of arrests, six, were for disorderly conduct. Warrant arrests generally rank at or near the top from week to week and four were made during the time period. Three assault and battery arrest were also made.

Breaking and entering
2000 block of Normandy Rd., 9-6-17, 6:50 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) pried a rear window, entered the residence, and stole several pieces of jewelry and cash.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle
1000 block of Gardenia Ave., 9-6-17 – 9-7-17, 8:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole (4) rims and tires from his vehicle which was parked in the parking lot.

  • 25000 block of Woodward Ave., 8-21-17, 8:00 p.m. – 11:54 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole two delivered packages from her residence.
  • W. Sixth St. & S. Washington Ave., 9-3-17, 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole her backpack from her vendor tent. The backpack contained personal documents, books, and cash.
  • W. Sixth St. & S. Washington Ave., 9-4-17, 1:20 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole his iPhone from a vendor table.
Malicious Destruction of Property
  • Thirteen Mile & Woodward Ave., 9-1-17, 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect spray-painted graffiti on the concrete and on a picnic table in the park.
  • 600 block of E. Fifth St., 9-3-17, 4:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window of her parked 2016 Ford.
  • 100 block of Allenhurst Ave., 9-3-17 – 9-4-17, 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) keyed his 2016 Cadillac and damaged a running light.
  • 3000 block of Harvard Rd., 9-2-17, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) damaged flowers, lawn decorations, and wooden steps at the front of her residence.
