Grant to support the creation of an arts-based makerspace at The Royal Oak Public Library

Royal Oak, MI— The National Endowment for the Arts is awarding The Royal Oak Public Library a $10,000 grant to support the creation of an arts-based makerspace.

“The National Endowment for the Arts is committed to ensuring all Americans have access to the arts, whether they are in a small or large, rural or urban area,” said Arts Endowment Chairman Mary Anne Carter. “We are proud to support organizations such as The Royal Oak Public Library that are providing opportunities for more people to experience and engage in the arts in their communities.”

“We are beyond honored and thrilled to have been awarded this generous grant. The art makerspace will serve and benefit our community greatly, and will hopefully inspire creativity, learning, and beauty for years to come,” said Library Director Emily Dumas.
