Royal Oak Restaurant Week Kicks Off Friday
The annual event allows diners to sample three-course menus from some of the downtown Royal Oak's best restaurants.

Royal Oak Restaurant Week starts Friday, with more than 20 of downtown eateries offering three-course menus for $15 to $35 a person. Some restaurants will offer lunch versions of a restaurant week menu as well as the dinner option, organizers say. From Feb. 23 through Sunday, March 4, participating restaurants will offer the special menus along with one feature cocktail made with Tito’s Handcrafted Vodka, the event’s sponsor.
Here are the participating restaurants:
- Ale Mary’s Beer Hall
- Bastone Brewery
- Bigalora
- Bistro 82
- Cafe Muse
- D’Amato’s
- Fifth Avenue
- Jim Brady’s Detroit
- Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria & Brewery
- Le Crepe
- Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery
- Lockhart’s BBQ
- Mesa Tacos and Tequila
- Mr. B’s Gastropub
- Oak City Grille
- The Rock on Third
- Royal Oak Taphouse
- Tom’s Oyster Bar
- Town Tavern
- Trattoria da Luigi
Most of the three-course offerings include a salad or soup, and entree and dessert. Lily’s Seafood has both a lunch and dinner menu for Royal Oak Restaurant Week, for example. Lily’s actually offers four different entrees as part of both their lunch and dinner menus, with price points ranging from $15 for the lunch crab cakes or a garlicky shrimp and spinach sandwich, to $30 for dinner selections like a crab-stuffed pork loin, or seared Canadian salmon. The salmon is described as "rich salmon, rubbed with select spices and quickly seared, served over a bed of sweet potato hash with applewood smoked bacon, tender leeks and wild mushrooms and finished with a drizzle of beet-infused extra virgin olive oil.”
