Royal Oak Spooktacular Is Sunday

Reese's will be unveiling a new product and trick-or-treaters who attend.

Reese’s is the surprise sponsor for Royal Oak’s Spooktacular 2017. Reese’s will be unveiling a new product and trick-or-treaters who attend Spooktacular will enjoy a special preview before its official debut in 2018.

Royal Oak is the only place this will be unveiled in the country and was chosen because of the annual success of the Spooktacular event for more than 34 years, according to city officials.

More than 50 businesses will be distributing candy from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be face painting, games, pumpkin bowling, a hay tower, bounce houses and live entertainment, too!

Spooktacular kicks off at with the Spooktacular Dash at 10:00 a.m. The Spooktacular Dash will feature three exciting events: Monster Mash 1 Mile, 5 Kill-O-Meters Run/Walk, and the 1/4 Trick or Trot Kids Run. To sign-up for one of these exciting events, visit SpooktacularDash.com.

Businesses will also be offering discounts, freebies and other special attractions, while Spooktacular’s Vendor Village will showcase holiday vendors selling festive wares and unique fall gifts along Main Street.

In addition to the activities, a Reese’s-themed mural has been installed on Main Street between Second and Third Streets, 305 South Main Street has been decorated in Reese’s colors and includes a large digital clock that counts-down to the event, and a digital screen advertising the event has been installed on the Center Street parking deck.
