2 Royal Oak Artists Featured in Juried Exhibition

Royal Oak residents Cindy LaFerle and Michael Bowman are two of 43 artists to participate in this year’s Michigan Annual, an open-call, juried exhibition in Mount Clemens.

The Anton Art Center will host an opening reception for Michigan Annual XLI from 6-8 p.m. Friday.  Gilda Snowden, a 2009 Kresge Arts Fellow, and the Interim Chair and Professor of Fine Arts at the Center for Creative Studies was the juror. 

Media in the exhibition includes encaustic, stoneware, assemblage as well as oil, watercolor, acrylic and photography.

Complimentary hors d’ouerves and beverages will be served at the reception.

The exhibition runs Jan. 24 – Feb. 24. The Art Center is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sundays, Noon – 4 p.m.
