What Do You Want to See at the St. Dennis Site?

Royal Oak has a lot of great neighborhoods, but is there anything missing? A certain type of establishment or a new development?

The site of the former St. Dennis Catholic Church, located at 2200 E. Mile Rd., is listed on the CRBE website for $8 million. The site has nearly 16 acres and is zoned one-family and multiple-family residential. To use the site for something other than a church, school or houses would require a zoning variance.

St. Dennis closed in November as the result of the Archdiocese of Detroit's Together in Faith plan, which was initiated in 2011 as a way to deal with financial challenges, a shortage of priests, and changing demographics in the archdiocese.
