
Age 91, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Arbor Hospice following an extended illness. He was born February 14, 1920 in Detroit, MI, the son of Anthony and Victoria (Sitarski) Domber. On June 14, 1941 in Detroit, MI he married Regina Kuk and she preceded him in death on April 11, 2001. He attended Fordson High School and Cass Tech. Roland was employed by General Motors for 15 years and the rest of his career at his love, Ford Motor Company until his retirement in 1986. He was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Dearborn Council #3860 where he was a Third Degree Knight. He also served in the United States Navy during WWII. Survivors include his two children, Christine (Domber) Benton and Timothy Domber, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his son, Gregory R. Domber. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline, with Rev. Fr. David B. Rosenberg, celebrant with military honors to follow under the Auspices of the Washtenaw County Veterans Honor Guard.
