Zoming Variance Sought for Senior Living Home on Maple and Woodland

SALINE CITY ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Saline City Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at the Saline Municipal Building, 100 N. Harris Street, Saline, MI, for the purpose of hearing all objections to, and support of, the application of Reenders, Inc. and Saline Area Schools for Use Variances from Sections 4.05, 6.05(4), 6.05(5) and 13.06(1)  of the Saline City Zoning Ordinance for the property located at 650 Woodland Drive E  (S.W. corner of E. Woodland Drive and N. Maple Road, Saline, MI), part of Parcel I.D. 18-13-36-110-021.  The Variances will apply to Phase 1 and 2 of the proposed Saline Home for the Aged.

USE VARIANCES APPLIED FOR

To allow lot coverage of 33.4% in lieu of the 30% maximum allowed per Section 4.05, Zoning.

To allow bedroom units to be less than the minimum sizes per Section 6.05(4), Zoning, specifically

12 at 150 square foot less; 22 at 201 square foot less; 56 at 100 square foot less; and, 18 at 16 square foot less.

To allow 112 bedroom units on a 6.89 acre parcel in lieu of the 9.4 acres required by density formula

per Section 6.05(5), Zoning.

To allow 2 loading spaces with total areas of 825 square foot in lieu of the 1,000 square foot minimum

per Section 13.06(1), Zoning.

Written comments on the above application will be received in the office of the City Clerk, 100 N. Harris Street, Saline, MI, prior to the closing of the public hearing.
