From Western Michigan, The Moxie Strings are fiddler Diana Ladio and electric cellist Alison Lynn.  With their feel-good melodies and foot-stomping, rock-influenced rhythms, these young women have put a fresh, enticing spin on Celtic and Americana music. Though rooted in tradition, The Moxie Strings offer listeners the unique opportunity to experience some of the world’s best-known instruments and oldest tunes through a young, progressive lens. (www.themoxiestrings.com) Admission is $10 at the door, with all proceeds going to the artists.

5. Last Chance

This year, the “Roaring Twenties”  adults only event moves from Weller’s Carriage House to the Stone Arch Arts and Events  in downtown Saline and features a chance to mingle before a themed dinner, dance, and silent auction. Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to come dressed in ‘20s-era garb such as flapper outfits, straw hats and bow ties, or other period attire.
