Chamber Announces Saline Salutes Awards
The award recipients will be honored at the 28th Annual Saline Salutes Awards Program on Friday, March 24.
From the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce: The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 Saline Salutes Awards. Nominations were gathered in February and the honorees then selected by a panel of community leaders representing a cross-section of the Saline area. The annual Saline Salutes Awards, now in their 28th year, are the most widely-respected and prestigious recognition of the citizen contributions from individuals living or working in the Saline area. This year’s honorees are:
- Citizen of the Year – Cindy Czubko
- Lifetime Achievement – Jim Peters
- Orrin Parsons Distinguished Veteran – Geoffrey Bowen
- Hometown Hero Active Duty – Sgt. Jacob Frey
- First Responder Award – Sgt. Jay Basso
- Youth of the Year – Riaz Clark (by Saline Youth Council)
These exceptional award recipients will be honored at the 28th Annual Saline Salutes Awards Program on Friday, March 24 at 5:30pm at the Center for Innovation & Education (former Saline Hospital). The Saline Chamber is excited to be partnering with EHM Senior Solutions in their new space for this event which will include strolling dinner, music and artwork by Salt Valley Arts. Reservations for the Saline Salutes Awards Program are required by March 17. The cost is $22/Adults, $20/Seniors, $10/Students (6-18yrs).
