Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is set to attend a town hall meeting in Saline on Monday to update residents on the latest news at the Capitol and to answer questions from attendees.

State Rep. Mark Ouimet (R-Scio Township) is sponsoring the event, which takes place from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Saline Liberty School, 7265 N. Ann Arbor St.

"The event is a tremendous opportunity for local residents to talk with Gov. Snyder about any issue facing Michigan," Ouimet said in a written statement. "I appreciate the governor taking time out of his busy schedule to be with us. We'll have a substantive discussion about issues important to attendees."
