Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

• Saline Fiddlers Winter Hometown Concert

Where/When: 7 p.m. Saturday at the Ellen Ewing Performing Arts Center in Saline High School, 1300 Campus Parkway.

Why Go: If you’ve heard the Saline Fiddlers, you know why you should go. If you haven’t, it’s a good time to find out.

Pricing: Tickets are $20, $15 and $10.

Where/When: 9:30-10 a.m., Thursday (Family Storytime); 1-1:30 p.m. Thursday (ages 4 and 5), Saline District Library, 555 N. Maple Rd., Saline.

Why Go: Introduce your child to the library with fun Valentine’s Day themed stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts.

Pricing: Free. Registration required.

 

• Winter Family Science Time at the Milan Public Library

Where/When: 10:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday, at the Milan Public Library, 151 Wabash Street, Milan.

Why Go: A terrific, hands-on program offered in partnership with the University of Michigan’s Exhibit of Natural History. It’s for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Pricing: Free. Registration is required.

 

• Daddy-Daughter Dance (Milan)

Where/When: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, at the Community Activity Center, 45 Neckel Ct., Milan

Why Go: This one’s for Dad. But you might want to pop by with a camera. They’ll enjoy dancing, refreshments and prizes.

Pricing: $18 per couple (or $16 for Milan residents). Additional children are $9 ($8 for Milan residents). Call 439-1549.

 

• Daddy-Daughter Dance (Saline)

Where/When: 6-7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, at the Saline Rec Center, 1866 Woodland Drive, Saline

Why Go: This one’s for Dad. Music. Dancing. Refreshments. And a balloon drop at the end. All couples receive a souvenir photo.

Pricing: $25 a couple. $6 for additional daughters.
