Joseph Burman, World War II Veteran, was Father of 4 Children
Funeral services are at 4 p.m. June 12 at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home.

Joseph G. Burman, age 85, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Saline Evangelical Home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1926 in Detroit, the son of Joseph and Lydia (Willer) Burman. On Oct. 15, 1949 he married Virginia Borieo in Detroit, and she survives. Joseph was a United States Navy Veteran and served in World War II. He worked for Detroit Edison for 36 years as a system supervisor.
Other survivors in addition to his wife include: children Cynthia Harrison (William), Joseph Burman II (Teresa), Jennifer Escott (Gary), Jeffrey Burman (Helen), grandchildren: Corey Smith (Notasha), Kyle Smith, Jessica Burman, Christina Whitesall (Dan), Adam Burman, Garth Escott, Matthew Burman, Michael Burman, great-grandchildren: Ethan and Natalie Smith, Eay-Mey and Katarina Burman. Other survivors include sisters-in-law Hazel Burman and Frances Hoxsie, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Russell and Kenneth Burman.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, at 4 p.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, with the Rev. Dr. Patricia Kenney, officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Saline. Military graveside services will be held under the auspices of the Washtenaw County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
