Milan Wrestlers Fall to Tecumseh in District

The Milan Big Reds wrestling team’s season came to close at Adrian High School Wednesday night in the MHSAA Division 2 Team District Tournament.

The Big Reds lost to state powerhouse Tecumseh, 54-19.

Tim Sims continued his standout season with a win by pin. Matt Schultz won by a 3-0 decision. RJ Gaskill won by pin. Dillon Farrell won by major decision, 15-4.

Those four wrestlers will be among the Big Reds who fight to keep their season alive Saturday at Dexter during the MHSAA Division 2 Individual District Tournament. Several wrestlers have hopes of reaching the MHSAA state finals at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Milan capped the season with a 25-13 record and a share of the Huron League title.
