Quiet Primary Day at the Polls in Saline

The Liberty School polling stations have been quiet since polls opened at 7 a.m.

Voter turnout has been light in August primary voting in the City of Saline.

As of 3:40 p.m., just 74 votes had been cast in person in precinct one and 159 votes cast in precinct two. Absentee votes accounted for 293 votes between the two precincts at Liberty School. Totals were unavailable at precinct three at First United Methodist Church.

The low turnout has resulted in a quiet day so far for Saline Deputy Clerk and elections coordinator Aimee Rutledge.
