Saline Teachers Approve Contract

Saline Teachers have voted to ratify a

Saline Education President Juan Lauchu confirmed that teachers passed the contract in voting which closed at 4 p.m. Wednesday. He could provide a vote total.

The contract now goes to the Saline Area Schools Board of Education for approval.

School board meets at 5 p.m. at Liberty School to consider the contract.

The contract could have major implications on the budget approved by the board Tuesday, which called for laying off the equivalent of 17 teachers.
