Summer Fest 5K and More This Weekend in the Saline Area

1. Milan Summer Fest Incredible 5K run benefits Relay for Life …

• When: Saturday, August 3, 2013, 7:00 AM
• Where: Milan Free Methodist Church, 950 East Arkona Road
• What: A second-annual benefit run next month in Milan gains an additional sponsor this year. Aven, Inc., an Ann Arbor supplier of optical instruments and precision tools, is helping support the Milan Summer Fest Incredible 5K on Aug. 3. The 5K race, which follows a fun run for youngsters, is part of a Summer Fest that includes a car show, Rotary Club pancake breakfast in Wilson Park, a fire department pig roast in the evening and numerous activities all day in downtown Milan. Festival chairmen are Councilman Michael Williams and Dr. Eduardo Enrique of Milan Physical Therapy. Registration details and other race information are at milansummerfest5k.com.

2. Art Fair, Manchester Street & Riverfolk Festival

• When: Saturday, August 3, 2013, 9:00 AM
• Where: Main Street Manchester Michigan
• What: The Manchester Street Festival will be on the first Saturday in August, the 3rd, from 9am to 9pm. The first annual Manchester Art Fair booths will be located down the middle of Main Street and will be a main attraction. The Festival will Include Run Manchester (in its 8th year), a children’s area, bed races, live music in 2 or 3 places all day, an antique car show, a beer tent, sidewalk sales, and a sidewalk artist. Historic Manchester Main Street also features several restaurants and pubs which will be open to supply great food and drink. Join us!

3. North Lake UMC Chicken & Corn Roast

• When: Saturday, August 3, 2013, 3:00 PM
• Where: 14111 N. Territorial Rd Chelsea MI
• What: North Lake UMC 34th Annual Chicken & Corn Roast, Saturday Aug. 3rd starting at 3pm. Delicious Chicken dinner for only $10.00. Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Beans, Coleslaw and Rolls. Eat in or Take Home. Get Tickets at the Door.
