"The storms that have been running through here have been brutal, knocking down tree limbs and leaving them weakened. This was really a major storm, knocking down 1,000 lines," said DTE spokesperson Eileen Dixon. "Every crew we have is working around the clock and working really hard, doing difficult, tedious work, to restore service as fast as they can."
Dixon said DTE hopes to all service up by Saturday night, as long as the weather doesn't complicate matters.
