Celebrate Christmas In St. Clair Shores
The city will be holding the annual tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 1. Singer Karen Newman will help make it a festive evening.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Thanksgiving may be this week, but the official start of the holiday season doesn’t start in St. Clair Shores until the city’s Christmas Tree is lighted. This year, the annual event — held at city hall at Jefferson Avenue and Eleven Mile Road — starts at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, according to a C & G Newspapers’ report.
“The Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores will provide doughnuts and refreshments, and Shores Fireplace and BBQ is bringing snacks, St. Clair Shores Activities Committee Chair Dave Rubello. Children will have the opportunity to see live reindeer before Santa and Mrs. Claus make their appearance on a St. Clair Shores fire truck with a welcome from the South Lake High School band.”
“There will also be performances from Miss St. Clair Shores Shelby McPherson and Miss Teen St. Clair Shores Kylie D’Andrea. Santa Claus and his wife will meet with children after the tree lighting in the Friends Gift Shop at the St. Clair Shores Public Library.”
