Cops for Kids Chili Cookoff, Craft Shows and Lighthouse Auction Among Events Planned This Weekend

Chili Wars, crafts shows which include a book signing by Justin Verlander's parents and charity auction are among the events planned for this weekend.

Here are some events to add to your weekend calendar:

Help make sure that every kiddie has a Christmas while having some of the best chili in town Thursday at Chili Wars at the Lakeland Banquet and Event Centre.
St. Germaine will hold a holiday craft show Saturday.
The Lakeview Band Parent Association will hold its annual Christmas Fantasyland Craft Show Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, Richard and Kathy Verlander will be in attendance. They will be selling their book "Rocks Across the Pond." In addition to signing their book, attendees will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Justin Verlander's All Star ring.
The annual Nautimile Sands Bash will be held Saturday which will include a raffle with proceeds benefitting Wigs 4 Kids.
The Cool City Committee will hold an auction Saturday at the St. Clair Shores Golf and Country Club for some of the decorated lighthouses placed around the city this summer.
