Home Invasion Suspects Face Charges, Dog Shot In Attack
Two men are facing multiple felony charges after police say they forced their way into a Harper Woods home, according to a report.

HARPER WOODS, MI – Two men are facing charges in connection to a home invasion on Tuesday, when a home owner's dog was shot. Authorities say the men threatened the homeowner and another man before taking a garbage bag of marijuana and cash.
Michael Jason Gadie, 42, of Warren, was to be arraigned Friday on multiple charges, including armed robbery, home invasion, animal cruelty, marijuana delivery and assault on a police officer. Timothy Wade Horton, 48, of Detroit, was to be arraigned on charges of armed robbery, home invasion, marijuana and assault on police officer.
Police were called to the home just before 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 19700-block of Country Club Drive, according to court records. Gadie and Horton forced their way into the home, and confronted the 26-year-old homeowner and a 25-year-old man from St. Clair Shores. When the homeowner's dog heard the commotion, it jumped on Gadie and Horton, and Gadie shot the dog.

The homeowner escaped the home, but the other man was forced to lead Gadie and Horton to the cash and marijuana in the basement of the home, according to court records. Gadie and Horton then left the home, but were apprehended by police later Tuesday.
The dog was treated by a veterinarian and survived the gunshot, report authorities.
