A former Roseville junior varsity coach has been charged with two felonies in connection with the case.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A 25-year-old former junior varsity coach at Roseville High School has been charged with sending sexually inappropriate texts to students. Christopher Mahla, of Roseville, was charged with two felony counts of using a computer to commit a crime, according to a Detroit News report. He was also charged with two counts of accosting children for immoral purposes.

“A judge ordered Mahla held on a $200,000 bond. If he is able to post bond, he must wear a GPS tether, is banned from school property and won't be allowed to use the Internet, officials said.”
“Officials for Roseville Community Schools said last week the employee in question was a junior varsity coach and is no longer working for the district.”
