Lake Shore High Put On Lockdown After Bullet Is Found
After someone found a bullet in a school locker room, Lake Shore High was put on internal lockdown Monday morning.

Lake Shore High went on lockdown today after a bullet was found in a school locker room. The Lake Shore Public Schools, which services families in St. Claire Shores, posted an announcement on the district website, explaining the situation, and reassuring families that safety will be a top priority.
“This morning a single bullet was found in a locker room, in what we believe was an effort to disrupt school operations,” the statement reads. “As a precaution there will be a heightened police presence in the high school for the remainder of the day.”
Lake Shore High School is attended by 1370 students.

“We place our highest priority on student safety here at Lake Shore and we will continue to treat any and all incidents seriously,” the announcement concludes. The school district says police are investigating the incident.
