Lake Shore High School Employee Is Fired Over Alleged Inappropriate Texts With A Student

St. Clair Shores Police are launching an investigation.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Allegedly inappropriate text messages between a Lake Shore High School employee and a student has earned the employee a pink slip and triggered a police investigation.

On Nov. 22, someone from another school tipped off Lake Shore Public School officials about the reported text messages between Lake School High School's female junior varsity girls basketball coach and a male student, according to C&G News.

The coach, a recent graduate of Lake Shore High School, was immediately terminated. She had worked for Lake Shore for a year. Lake Shore Public Schools Superintendent Joe DiPonio says the male student "has done nothing wrong."
