Lakeview High School Earns Silver Medal Ranking

U.S. News and World Report ranked Lakeview High School as one of the best in Michigan.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Lakeview High in St. Clair Shores is the 79th best high school in Michigan, according to U.S. News and World Report. Lakeview earned a silver medal designation with its ranking.

U.S. News and World Report has crunched the numbers for 2017, releasing its annual list of best high schools in the country. In Michigan, Wellspring Preparatory High School in Grand Rapids earned the title of the best high school in the state. Overall, the school ranked 211th in the country. Arbor Preparatory in Ypsilanti ranked as the second best in Michigan, followed by Black River Public High School in in Holland.

Six Michigan high schools were given gold medals by U.S. News, 77 received silver and 52 received bronze medals. The 2017 rankings of best high schools identify the top-performing public schools at both the national and the state level and include date on more than 20,000 high schools.
