Macomb County Coronavirus Update: 64,963 Cases, 1,915 Deaths

Michigan has added more than 8,200 new cases of the coronavirus in the past two days, health officials said Monday.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — Nearly 65,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Macomb County, according to the most recent data released Monday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

State health officials reported 64,963 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1,915 reported COVID-19 deaths Monday. The county also has reported 5,645 probable COVID-19 cases and 106 probable COVID-19 deaths, according to state data.

In all, Michigan reported that it had added 8,202 new cases of the coronavirus and eight COVID-19 deaths since Saturday. The new figures bring the state's COVID-19 totals to 660,771 confirmed coronavirus cases and 16,034 COVID-19 deaths, according to state figures.

Health officials reported on Saturday that 569,460 people in Michigan had recovered from the coronavirus as of Friday.
