Macomb Mall Sears Closing
Sears announced 20 store closures in the U.S. on Friday, including its Roseville location.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — The Sears store in Macomb Mall will be closed by mid-September. Parent company Sears Holdings announced Friday that it’s shuttering 20 stores in the U.S., including its Roseville store. The company earlier this year closed 245 Sears and Kmart stores.
In a statement, Sears Holdings said liquidation sales will start at the 20 stores targeted for closing by June 30. Employees say the new list of closures includes Sears department stores in Sarasota, Florida; Roseville, Michigan; Toledo, Ohio; and Overland Park, Kansas, among others.
Sears did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The closings will bring Sears' store count to about 1,180, down from 2,073 five years ago.
