The crash took place Monday when a 26-year-old Chesterfield man was killed after being hit by a passing vehicle on eastbound I-94, near 9 Mile Road. He was hit while working near an orange road service vehicle, officials said.

State police initially did not have a description of the suspect's vehicle, but said a large number of tips were called it leading the vehicle being seized and processed for evidence.
